Raised in the country of Georgia, Jacob earned his law degree before relocating to the United States. He later pursued his passion for business at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in management and finance. With nearly two decades of professional experience, Jacob brings extensive business knowledge, proven leadership, and strategic insight to his work

Dr. Maghlakelidze is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and brings extensive clinical experience in primary care, obesity medicine, and cardiometabolic health. Her work focuses on helping patients understand the medical, behavioral, and lifestyle factors that shape long-term health.

Dr. Brandon Elliott is double board certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. He is a Michigan native that was raised in Reed City. He attended the University of Michigan on a full academic scholarship and was a multiple letter winner on the Wrestling Team at UofM.

His background in wrestling was instrumental in shaping his devotion to supporting individuals with their weight loss and metabolic health improvement journeys through nutrition counseling, exercise counseling and when appropriate supplemented with medication. In addition to obesity medicine, Dr. Elliott is devoted to inspiring and educating physicians and healthcare teams on the importance of enabling technology and how it can empower change in patient safety, improve quality/clinical outcomes and reduce administrative burden (physician burnout/moral injury) through automation to streamline healthcare delivery.

Rachael is a Michigan native raised in Freeland. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Biology from Aquinas College in 2004. She went on to get her nursing degree in 2007 and later her Master’s of Nursing for her nurse practitioner degree in 2013, both from Saginaw Valley State University. As a nurse, she worked in labor and delivery, the neuro ICU, and the open-heart recovery room. Most of her nurse practitioner career was in cardiothoracic surgery, but she also worked in hospital medicine, cardiology, and nephrology. She is married with 2 adorable little girls. Outside of work, she enjoys going on “adventures” with her kiddos, spending time with her 3 cats, gardening, traveling, shopping, and crafts.

Lauren is a highly skilled and dedicated certified nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor's degree from Ferris State University, following which she gained valuable experience working in the Surgical ICU, where she took care of open-heart surgery patients. Lauren then pursued her master's degree from Saginaw Valley State University and continued her career as a nurse practitioner in nephrology. As a provider, Lauren finds immense joy in seeing patients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. Her commitment to patient care and her passion for helping others make her a perfect fit for our team. Lauren was born and raised in Midland and chose to return to her hometown after completing her education.

Alyssa Manry is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over eight years of nursing experience in acute and preventative care.

She earned her BSN from Valparaiso University in Indiana and began her career on a Neuro/Trauma step-down unit before completing her MSN at Saginaw Valley State University. Having personally faced the challenges of obesity, Alyssa is passionate about helping patients of all ages manage their health through a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach.

She is committed to patient advocacy, education, and empowering families to achieve lasting wellness.

In her free time, she enjoys watching sports and doing crafts.

With several years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Marcus brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to patient care. He earned his degree and completed his dietetic internship at Central Michigan University, where he gained hands-on experience across a diverse range of nutrition care environments.

Marcus specializes in creating tailored nutrition plans and meal planning, with a strong focus on sustainable weight management and long-term lifestyle change. He’s known for translating complex nutrition science into practical, real-life strategies that empower individuals to reach their goals and not feel deprived along the way.

Outside of work, Marcus enjoys staying active at the gym, exploring new video games, spending time with his baby nephews, and keeping up with the latest in nutrition science and food trends.

Jenifer earned her certification from Kirtland Community College in 2012. She began her career on the medical-surgical floor before transitioning to labor and delivery. She spent many years as a dialysis nurse before joining Obesity Medicine & Metabolic Wellness Center. Jen is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. When she's not at work, she enjoys her duties as a preacher's wife and learning more about God's word every day. She also treasures spending time with her adult children.

RMA

Deanna Beebe has dedicated nearly 19 years to her career in the medical field, where she has excelled as a Medical Assistant. Her journey began with her MA training at the Bay-Arenac Career Center. Over the years, she has primarily focused her expertise in the realm of Family Medicine. Deanna's inherent warmth and passion for aiding others make her a natural 'people person' who derives immense satisfaction from helping those in need. She is eagerly anticipating embarking on a fresh path that emphasizes wellness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and specializing in weight management at obesity medicine and metabolic wellness clinic.

Rose is a registered medical assistant with a career spanning 26 years, beginning in pediatrics. She later spent many years in family practice before joining Obesity Medicine in December.

Rose is deeply passionate about helping people, dedicating herself to aiding her patients in achieving health and fulfilling lives.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations

Jennifer is a Registered Medical Assistant with over 28 years of experience in the medical field. Her journey began as a nursing assistant right after high school, followed by work as a home health aide. Although she was close to completing her RN, she paused her education due to a complicated pregnancy. After her children were born, Jennifer became a Registered Medical Assistant through accelerated courses, allowing her to return to patient care. Her career has spanned Oncology, Family Practice, and Orthopedics, and she finds fulfillment in helping patients achieve their health goals. Jennifer is a proud mom of two grown daughters and enjoys spending her free time crafting, working on home improvement projects, and relaxing with her two German Shepherds.

Teylor is a registered medical assistant who earned her certification from Ross Medical. She began her career as a surgery scheduler in cardiovascular surgery, where she was the go-to person for nearly 10 years. After a brief stint in family practice, she joined Obesity Medicine. Teylor is a proud mother of three beautiful children, Karter, Leryssa, and Brycen. When she's not at work, you can often find her at a ball field with her kids.

Cori brings over 20 years of comprehensive experience in the medical field, having held roles such as surgery scheduler, medical receptionist, and provider assistant.

Her diverse background spans chiropractic care, orthopedics, and therapeutic modalities, equipping her with a strong understanding of both patient care and clinical workflows. Additionally, Cori is a licensed massage therapist, further enhancing her holistic approach to patient support.

In her free time, Cori values time with her husband and four children. She embraces opportunities to create meaningful family memories while maintaining a grounded perspective through moments of reflection and gratitude.

Leanne Skrok is part of the Metabola care team, supporting patients through coordinated communication, practical guidance, and long-term care follow-up.
